In the capital of the country, Dushanbe, another award ceremony took place within the framework of the competition “Best financial and credit organization serving women entrepreneurs” by the National Bank of Tajikistan, in which Bank “Arvand” won in the nomination “For the successful implementation of projects aimed at supporting women's entrepreneurship".
Another recognition in this area means for Bank “Arvand” that the chosen development strategy is bearing the desired fruits, and women’s entrepreneurship is a significant factor in the socio-economic development of Tajikistan. From the very first days of its activity, CJSC Bank “Arvand” paid primary and special attention to the issue of supporting women entrepreneurs, since at that time (in 2002), obtaining financial support was a labor-intensive process. More than 80% of the Bank's borrowers were women, and throughout its activities to this day, “Arvand” has been introducing products and participating in various projects in the field of women's entrepreneurship and gender equality.
The country's leadership pays special and careful attention to the issues of women's education and their social role in our society. In almost every message and address, the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon calls on our people and society to treat women with special respect, respect their rights and provide every opportunity for self-realization and development:

Bank “Arvand” can rightfully be considered one of the leaders in the country's banking sector on issues of gender equality. 43% of women of the total number of employees operate within the Bank’s walls, and 32% of women are members of the Bank’s management team. The clients of Bank “Arvand” almost 50% are women, and the Chairperson of Bank “Arvand” Sodiqova Shoira Muzaffarovna, is a laureate of the international “Woman in Business” award for “Promoting gender equality in a financial institution.”
Most recently, as part of the implementation of projects on green lending, youth and women's entrepreneurship, Bank “Arvand” and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development entered into a record agreement in the history of the country's banking sector for a total amount of 15 million US dollars. This agreement will become a significant component in the implementation of the State Program for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2027.
