Welcoming ceremony of new investors
Welcoming ceremony of new investors – funds managed by Triodos Investment Management Fund and Incofin Investment Management entering into ownership of LLC MDO “Arvand” is taking place in the head office of the organization.
The hosts of the ceremony are:
LLC MDO "Arvand" (Khujand , Tajikistan) - headed by Sadykova Shoira Muzaffarovna, Director-General of the organization;
And the founders of the organization:
MLF "MicroInvest" ( Khujand, Tajikistan ) - represented by Elena Nelson, Senior Technical Director of the Financial Services, ACDI / VOCA and
MLC LLC "Frontiers" (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) – represented by Sergey Kabanov, Financial Director of the Company.
Limited Liability Company Microcredit Deposit-taking Organization "Arvand" - started its activity since July 2008, as a result of the successful implementation of the transformation process of the Microloan fund "MicroInvest", a nonprofit organization aimed at eradicating poverty, which became the principal founder of the Company.
The second founder of the authorized capital of LLC MDO Arvand has been MLC LLC "Frontiers" - wholesale lending company aimed at resolving the acute needs of the Central Asian market to access financial resources, support and development of MFIs in the region.
Distinguished guests – Manager of regional office of NBT in Sughd Valiev Navruz Aliyevich and Deputy Chairman of Sughd region Yaqoubi Anvar Shavkatovich joined this significant event, which is a part of a major trend to attract foreign investment into the country.
Investment support for socio-economic growth of Tajikistan, which has a special positive effect on the welfare of low-income population, is a major part of the strategic development plan of the Government of the country.
This solemn event once again demonstrates the sustained commitment and involvement of LLC MDO Arvand in implementing the strategy and, consequently, contributes to the target group access to financial resources.
New participants – international socially oriented investment funds are at the final stage of entering into the capital of LLC MDO “Arvand”:
Triodos Fair Share Fund (Netherlands) -. For retail investors in the Netherlands, launched in 2002. Provides debts and capital for MFIs and banks, and plays a role of catalyst in the development of Microfinance sector up to its becoming a full, integral part of the financial sector in developing countries.
Triodos Microfinance Fund (Netherlands) – (semi-) institutional investment fund established in 2009. The fund has a similar goal and provides the investors with the opportunity to promote the financial sector in developing countries involved.
Funds are managed by Triodos Investment Management and are two out of 20 funds in the company structure aimed at supporting sustainable development in emerging markets.
Incofin Investment Management enters into the capital of LLC MDO Arvand through
Rural Impulse Fund II (Belgium) - a fund established in 2010, which contributes to improve the welfare of rural population through investments in MFIs with a strong presence in rural remote areas.
